DigiPath50+: Practical Digital Learning for Adults Aged 50+
Digital confidence doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from practice — small, useful, repeatable practice that lets someone see for themselves that they can do this.
That’s the idea behind DigiPath50+, an Erasmus+ project built by partners in Bulgaria, Poland and Ireland to give adults aged 50+ a clear, accessible way into the digital world. The programme brings together a structured learning pathway, short videos, worksheets, and guidance for the educators and facilitators who support learners along the way.
Learners can start with the Introductory Course and move through Steps 1–8 at whatever pace works for them — no deadlines, no pressure to “keep up.”
A pathway built around everyday tasks
The pathway starts where most people actually start: getting comfortable with a device and using the internet. From there it moves into communication, file management, social media, tools for work and learning, AI and chatbots, and finishes with a simple digital portfolio.
Every step is built from manageable activities. Learners practise, see what happened, and decide what to try next — the same cycle that builds confidence in anything.

Short videos to support practice
The DigiPath50+ YouTube channel brings each topic to life through short educational videos. They work on their own, in a supported session, or as a starting point for a conversation with a family member, educator or facilitator.
Resources for educators and facilitators
DigiPath50+ also includes a set of Train-the-Trainer resources for the people supporting these learners. The materials are built around one principle: guided practice that keeps the adult learner active, respected, and in control of their own decisions.
